| | | Acne Medicine Can anyone recommend an acne medicine brand? Ever since I got diabetes, none of them do anything anymore.

| | | Jamison,
Make sure you are moisturizing your face. A common misconception is that you should dry it out to dry out the acne. Dial soap for example, used on the face can break it out. Use something made for washing your face (not body), then follow with a light moisturizer.
Now, maybe someone else knows a good acne spot treatment. Mary Kay makes a good one.

| | | Jamison, make sure you are washing your face at least 2 times a day. Neutrogena makes an Oil-Free Acne Wash that you might want to try...there's also a Zap-Zyt bar you can buy at Walmart to try as well. This will work for acne you may have on your shoulders, back or chest too. These may dry your face a little, if they do, try some Cetaphil lotion on the dry spots. Some people also have good results with Proactiv (you've prob. seen it on TV).
If your acne is getting worse or doesn't respond to some of the things above, it may be that you need to take an antibiotic such as doxycycline or minocycline. You could see a dermatologist and see what they recommend. There are several good prescription topical creams they could let you try as well.

| | | Well, my acne isn't really bad, its just those annoying every once in a while breakouts that stand out and take a week to get rid of.

| | | Hey,
I have had acne breakouts since I was 15, and I am 35 now. Last time this year, I developed the Mother of All Zits, and a dude at work called me out in the middle of a meeting about my adolescence not being over...
(After I gutted him) I decided to do some research into treatments...I've never had much success with Benzoyl Peroxide or salicylic acid treatments, so I looked into ProActiv. Looking into that lead me to Acnexus, which I bought off of eBay.
Now, I am not going to say I am poster-child for beautiful skin, but even my wife says my face is clearer than it has ever been consistently. I don't know if it's the consistency of using Acnexus a couple times a day, but whatever it is, I don't question it. Heck, I liked it so much, I made a review on eBay for it!
Anyway, my back still has some nice, cute zits that I can proudly claim as mine. So that tells me this stuff works where I use it (on my face). And as long as I don't get the Oppo-zits, or the ones on the tip of my nose, or on my cheek, etc., I couldn't care less.
(and I did not gut anyone. Well, I imagined I did that day)
