Fight for Contol

Hi I am type 1 for 15 years 35 years old. In the past year my a1c has gone up and my Blood Pressure is also going up.
So it is time for me to take control before it get's to late.

I just got the 722 pump trying to get the Monitor system waiting for approval. I have had pump for years.

Seems to be harder to control is there any herbs that will work or carb blockers that are good.

I can't seem to keep it even I have up as downs.
Example if I go to bed at night with a 160 I might wake up with a low or sometimes wakeup in the mourning with a high.
I need some of direction any help would be great thanks.

I WANT TO CONTROL IT NOT IT CONTROL ME

I have been on the pump for 2+ years now and you should be able to keep it on an even run. There will be slight ups and downs but overall it should be OK. Have you done basal testing to make sure your basal rates are set correctly. Until this is done the rest of the settings are not going to work. It took me a good solid month to get the settings down right. I just got the CGMS system and it is amazing how stable some days are.

what do you mean by Basal testing.
I seem to struggle when Example.
sugar 100
sandwhich ham and cheese say.
give myself 2.0 units sometimes I will have a high or sometimes a low.
If I go to the gym which I do 5 times a weeks that seems to mesh me up to.
If I go and I have a 100 I will drop If have some Gatorade goes up.

Waiting for my insurance to approve the CGMS I really hoping this will change my control.
? how often do you change the sensor

ok I understand and did that, however I think I might need to set my alarm around 5 in the mourning and see what is going on.
I might have to lowes my basal between 12 to 5 then raise it after 5.

Are Carb Blockers any good or something that will help with spikes.
thanks..

Need to really crack down on Diet
