Neuropathy

Hello

I'm new to this site, but am here to ask a question on behalf of my brother. He is diabetic and has been since the age of 2. He is now 23. He is suffering very badly with neuropathy and I am trying to find other young people who have had this condition. It is very rare in people of my brother's age and both he and the family could really do with some support. If you know of anyone who has any experience of this could you point them this way?

Many Thanks
Jenny

Hey Jenny,
I'm not quite as young as your brother, I'm 34, but I've had peripheral neuropathy issues. Has your brother tried Benfotiamine, yet? I've been using it about 1/2 a year now and I've noticed a change in the amount of Peripheral Neuropathy pains I've had. I've also noticed a change in the amount of activity that my stomache has had in the past few months. Hope this helps.

Hi Archimeech

I'm not sure if he has, he is on a real mixture of various things at the moment. I will pass the name on to my Dad to see. It is really useful to hear about things that have helped.

Thank you!

You're welcome. I take 600mg a day and buy it from Benfotiamine.net. It's the cheapest, and actually the purest Benfotiamine that I've found. I have actually gotten my Neurologist interested in it also. My neuropathy has not gone away, but for having diabetes for 22 years(and not taking care of it for the first 16 of those); it's not too bad.
good luck
