| I was depressed at first too. I have come to understand that it's not as bad as I thought at first. I am now living an almost normal life. And I've lost a lot of my obesity.
There is what one can consider a silver-lining. Diabetes can be considered a smack upside the head to those who were headed for a life of declining health or early death due to poor eating/exercise habits.
If I understand you correctly, you are (or were, until recently) 360 pounds. That would shorten your life dramatically and greatly complicate your health.
A diagnosis whose treatment is "eat right, lose weight and exercise" will spur you to look after yourself. It is entirely possible that Diabetes will actually contribute to a longer and higher-quality life for you. I know it is for me.
