One Touch Ultra Strips All Code 25

36 posts in this topic

Hi everyone!

This is my first post but I have been lurking here for a couple of years and have not seen this mentioned before. I am from S Ontario Canada.

Lately, over the last 9 months and four boxes of strips, I have noticed that all the strips I get are code 25. Previous to that the codes were all over the map, anywhere from 9 to 30, so this is something new. Each box was purchased separately, has a widely different expiry date and lot number and so are not all from the same batch.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this phenomenon and what it might mean. . .

regards

It means your wholesaler bought a large lot at one time, is all!

I've had a lot of 25's and now am on a 38. So be patient -- your number will be up ?

Get all mine from Liberty.

First shipment were 17's.

Next shipment 3 months later , still 17

Well, I see your point they will probably run out of 25's eventually then. 3 of mine did come from the same Wal-Mart, but separated in time by several months and with different expiry dates. But I had a problem with one box and they were replaced by One-Touch, they had the same code too.

Heck it is already in the USED market! I got my copy ...

I also have the original book, Q & A which is much more complex and mature.

Thanks for the big welcome Dewey

Yes, there do seem to be a lot of 25's about at the moment, they must make really big batches or something, I wonder if they all are made in the same place?

i get alot of 17's and 25's

out of curiosity..., why do they even have different codes?

I guess due to variations in production tolerances, it is not practical to make them all the same, so instead of throwing the odd ones out, they have us adjust the meter by changing the code. They save money this way, which no doubt is passed on to the end users. ;)

It seems like I always either have 17s or 25s. I wish One Touch would get with the times and do away with codes altogether. I have found that since I'll have box after box of the same I get complacent, then when I do need to change I forget to. Grr.

Same, the bulk of all OneTouch strips I have ever used were either 17 or 25.

Okay ... so what does it mean I jsut got a box of 38's, then ... ? :D

Gosh, they must have really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to make those.:D What is the expiry date and lot number?

My latest ones are (25), 12/2010, 2936169 & bought last week.
