This is my first A1c, and ive had diabetes since march. It was 5.6, and one of my friends told me it was too low, is this true?

It's all relative. If you were a non-diabetic, you would be lower, probably about 5. BUT, as a diabetic, 5.6 sounds really good. BUT if you were having a bunch of hypos to get to an average of 5.6, that's when the argument "you were too low" can have some validity. Did you have a lot of hypos?

Hi Greg: Well, I think 5.6 to 6.9 is a good number for Type 1

Diabetics, but there is a variety dependng on the person's body

chemitry, give or take a little. Great number for you. :proud:
