Are you on a diet to lose weight?

Mod,I get shortness of breath when my weight elevates . You have reminded me of years gone by when I had lousy doctors.

 

I was wheezing & short of breath so my doctor referred me to a specialist.

He Dx chronic asthma & he Rx  Ventolin, Serevent & another ending with tide but I was getting worse.

I just dont do meds well & I think it was blood pressure tabs that caused the wheezing & those inhalers made it worse.

I remember my heart pounding so hard that I thought I'd die.

 

Its going to be a rough ride for me when I get old as I just cant take meds.

I have fallen off the diet and am back at 305. Ive made my grocery list for next week and it is higher carb to use up things in the cupboard but I think I need to delete it and go back to low carb before this gets even worse. I think my body weight is set at 300 now when for a few years it was set at 270. I find this so hard to stick to and maybe its bc i have to also do low fat and my body is so resistant to losing

You gotta eat something. 

I have to do low fat also so I am trying to make sure all the carbs I eat have fiber.

My problem is eating out too much.  When I am away for work or doctor appts. I eat out.

The high sodium in the meals is not good. 

I am hoping when I get the asthma under better control, I can start walking more.

I deleted my grocery order and re-did it. Will see how it works out. Not being delivered until Tues

Ive got to take a critical look at my shopping list before I click on checkout.

I'm becoming weary with my decisions.. summer salads are losing appeal.

Lettuce doesn't taste good during the winter here so I am eating high fiber veggies such as acorn squash,

and beans.  I get the Sprouts brand of low sodium beans and they don't spike me at all as long as I measure.

Weight is down to 285.8 and that is with eating lunch at a Sonic in between meetings yesterday.

Sprouts brand, will have to try that.   159.8, these winter moleskins fit nice today.

If you have a nearby Sprouts they are a great place to get good fresh produce.  Good prices too.

so I mostly slept through the night so I could take a fasted scale. 301.6 Groceries coming this morning so off to a new start (mostly) I've been ordering groceries 2 weeks at a time to save on the delivery charge. I'm going to actually eat dinner these next 2 weeks to try to not graze in the kitchen after I've taken my sleeping pills. I've bought a bit of fruit so I don't know if that will stall the weight loss-it will be a experiment. I'm making taco salad this week but with the bolthouse ranch as the salad dressing. The taco packets are 2.50 for a single use. I've seen on youtube people buying huge containers of it for a few dollars. My parents are going to hawaii this week where they will be shopping at costco so I asked them to see if they have it there and to bring one back for me. There is really nothing else to report. Hope everyone is doing well

I do eat small amounts of fruit.  Actually eating a meal may be better for you than grazing.

Weight was 285.2 this freezing morning.  It is sleeting here and the tree limbs are hanging low with ice.

Hoping none break!!!

Ran just a question, are you comfortable with your goals and diet choices?

over many years of LCHF being hungry or having a desire for specific foods is not part of my equation.  It might be possible that you and your body does not agree on the goals you have set.?

Jumping from a no cholesterol diet to LCHF is a challenge and weight off my shoulders.  and keeping my weight down to my goals after losing 55 pds..     perhaps,

Great job Ran!  I have not seen a post of yours that indicated you have lost such an incredible amount of weight.  

But I also. Believe there are limits to weight loss progression and then it is more maintenance and tweaking. I was diagnose at 196 pound 5-11tall.  I have lowered the reading on the scale to184 but

the body with all my exercising is much more solid,. So down a couple of pant sizes, but added muscle mass.
