weird blood glucose readings.

Well I need to update with something here since I been on the new diet. I am getting what seems to be backward readings on my BG. I usually higher in the morning after fasting than an hour after I eat in the evening. I just curious if that is normal or not... Seems counter to what I would think it should be, but maybe there is a reason for it. So far I been reading about 150s in the morning and 120s in the evening about hour or two after eating.

That is normal when beginning a lower carb way of eating. Your morning fasting numbers are going to be the last to come down to normal readings. Stick with though, 120s in the evening after dinner is probably a lot lower than they were before. You're doing great!

It's normal. Your bg is higher in the morning most likely due to the Dawn Phenomenon. It's natures way of getting us up and out of bed.

Yeah I was reading 300 BG :o a couple of times when I started checking so Its come down a lot from that in general. Its interesting that you say its natures way of getting us out of bed. Lately I have a lot of trouble getting up in the morning. I was wondering if It was because my sugars were too high. Now I'm not sure why I have so much trouble getting up other than laziness lol.

Good to see this is trending downwards.  It took a few months for me to see consistent fasting readings below 100.

The "Dawn Phenomenon" is some interesting reading.  Google it as there are 2 different reasons for that to happen.  I have just went through a self study to try and determine the reason and that includes getting up at 2:30 in the morning to test my sugar levels. I'm not going to get into the reasons why the phenomenon happens because I'll most likely miss quote it.
