Hey everyone, I was wondering what your schedule is like? Do you eat at certain times/so many hours in between each meals/snacks? How many carbs for each meal and snack? How much water do you drink a day?

This is what my dietrition has set up for me..

Check fasting at 8:30 am

eat breakfast at 9 am (30-45 carbs)

eat a snack at 11 am (15-30 carbs)

eat lunch at 1 pm (30-45 carbs)

eat snack at 4 pm (15-30 carbs)

eat dinner at 7 pm (30-45 carbs)

eat snack at 10 pm (15-30 carbs)

Is this similar to anyone else's schedule?

During the week Thomas follows a schedule but only because of school. On the weekends he eats only when he is hungry or wants to.

For breakfast he usually eats between 7-7:30 and will have 10-30 carbs.

For lunch he eat at 12:30 and eats between 50-80 carbs.

He usually has a snack after school at 3:30 and will have about 15-30 carbs.

We usually eat dinner around 5:30 and he will have about 40-60 carbs.

Jeana, I have no specific schedule but I do find that keeping somewhat regular hours helps me greatly. During the week-end, I will often skip lunch for the simple reason that I had breakfast very late. If hungry, I will have a fruit & cheese. I don't count carbs as such but I do try to have foods which aren't too high on the glycemic index. And I don't drink enough water.

I am early to bed and early to rise, so mine will be different.

I have breakfast before 6am..usually bacon or ham and eggs and coffee.,,very low carbs.

For lunch, my largest meal of the day by 11am. I do watch the glycemic index. I ALWAYS still cook, and I ALWAYS have a full plate full of healthy food. I eat lots of vegetables and I do watch the carbs!

For supper, by 5 it is very very light. Often a left over from lunch.

I do drink lots of water.

I have two goals this year..at least an hr. of exercise a day.

And, portion control!!

I would not think that anyone should do as I do...but do as your Dr. suggests to you!!

I think it is nice your dr. got you all set up in helping you get on a plan to help you. Good Luck to you and I imagine you will do well!
