Hi! I saw you got some answers on the other thread. Yes, Lantus is long-acting, but basal requirements change over 24 hours. You could split the dose, 12 hours apart as some suggested. Or try slightly lower amount. Or try giving Lantus in the a.m.

 

My son plays sports. When it's practice, he may go low, but the adrenaline rush of a game brings him up into the 200's with a 4-hour post-game drop. And he's only 6!
