In case there is anyone on here with a child with diabetes.

JDRF provide a free backpack for parents and children with diabetes, has a book for parents a glucose meter a backpack and a teddy for learning to inject with children

 

You can get it by contacting your local JDRF centre.

Highly recommend it, I received the young adult/ teen one and its perfect.

my daughter received one as well. she loves her little teddy Rufus.

I can't lie when I read the book with her it made me tear up a little.

I know where I used to work A back pack would be given to every child newly diagnosed with Diabetes

They are great

I think it's a fantastic idea, it gives them confidence through the Teddy bear there's info in there and really everything you will need for your child.

I'm 22 and received the other pack...I didn't get a Teddy bear though :( lol
