How do you dine out at Chinese Restaurants?

As most have stated the rice used in a Chinese restaurant has a glycemic index, GI,  as high as sugar which is 100.  There are few things you could eat that would be worse.  Brown rice version of the same rice makes it a tiny bit better 5 GI points and frying it will further reduce the GI but the final product will still be probably have a higher GI than white bread.  If you were decently diagnosed with prediabetes a small portion might not kill you.  Even prediabetics need to get into the habit of treating anything loaded with carbs with care.
