Treatment of diabetes mellitus in children

The main method of treatment of diabetes - insulin it. Symptoms of diabetes (thirst, polyuria, etc.) appear in cases where almost 90% of beta-cells in the body to produce insulin, died.

This is the absolute insulin deficiency, and as we rebuild these cells have not yet learned, insulin must be administered by injection, otherwise the person can die.

Another approach to treating diabetes - properly selected power mode in each case.

Basic rules of supply diabetic patient child

A child should not go hungry. Therefore, to prevent hunger he has to

eat 4-5 times a day (at least). Moreover, the food should be sufficient in size, and calories. Child's diet must be properly balanced. Proteins, carbohydrates and fats must be in the ratio 1:0, 8:3.

In the diet of the child with diabetes need to enter the carbohydrates that are slowly digested black bread, fruit, vegetables (no sugar, no honey and sweets).

From fat, use only easily digestible by the body: butter and vegetable oil (no pork or goose fat).

It is important that the food was delicious, in sufficient quantity so that it causes a feeling of fullness, so that the child did not consider her diet. And it is very important for his mental and emotional development.

I hope this information will be useful for parents.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english(((;)
