This is great song Cramer!

Well let me post something too.  I think Adam Lambert is one of the best singers right now (to me - THE best), at least in rock and pop music.  And now he is touring with Queen.  Here is one their latest appearances.

Here is one of his own songs from unfortunately not very well know album Trespassing (it's like who knows Metformin besides diabetics?  The same in music these days - who knows his album besides his fans?):

The run at 3:36 is his own voice, his range is incredible.

He is amazing. He would have won AI that year if it weren't for being openly gay. His rendition of Mad World was spectacular! He is the only person I can imagine working with Queen that I would pay to see. He also demonstrated a knowledge of music that was missing from most of the prior contestants on AI. He was already an accomplished professional.

I build speakers as a hobby, and this thread makes me want to rock out tonight. This is the system I built when I was building my home theater. The top image is the center channel and the four big cubes are(or soon would become, after this picture was taken) subwoofers. Yet more reasons I'm not married. :(

What's really scary is that this turned out to be my small system. :o

Todd, I should get you in touch with my ex-BIL.  He collects and builds guitars and amps.  He especially likes the old tube amps.  I think the last guitar count was over 40.

Listening to Moondance by Van Morrison right now with This Masquerade by George Benson coming up, followed by Mother's Finest Baby Love after that. Who knows where this might lead? I'm looking at Jethro Tull, John Legend, Duran Duran, Gotye, Peter Gabriel, ELO, Brooks and Dunn, Fleetwood Mac.........OMG! Somebody stop me!

If you'all haven't seen it, I strongly suggest you watch The Commitments from 1991 ASAP. It's a great music movie. Take notes, there will be a test.

Todd ~ those are awesome!!

*raises a glass*

Thank you. They only cost $40,000.

That was for 4 years at Georgia Tech to get an engineering degree I've never used except to build speakers for fun and to wire the occasional house. I seem to build speakers when I'm getting over a woman. ***IF*** there's any truth to that rumor, the inspiration behind these speakers must have been special. This is what followed:

After all, nothing says "I don't miss you" better than a 7.5 foot tall, 8 speaker, 2,000lb, 4,000 watt, speaker system finished in subtle red. :)

This is a more reserved pair I built when I wasn't full of anger and rage (and a couple of others):

1488888_1501520303443753_28267085586572910711138_1501520420110408_2427648322862710440241_1501520703443713_573026173157951925030_1408468109415640_620405147_n.jpg

The last ones are pretty cool. They're self powered(like the red rear channel speakers in the post above) so you can run them off of an iPod if you want to. And they're only about 3' tall, not giant like the others. They sound great. Stringed instruments sound like the musician's in the room with you. Which she was before the biotch left me. (just kidding)(no I'm not)

At last count my house had about 40 speakers in it. And no women. I need a better plan. :)
