If anyone is a Janis Joplin fan, and they have never seen this, I think that you will enjoy it.

I never thought I would see this here, the girl got great talent. Funny thing is, the second she stops singing, she looks just like that shy little girl again. God bless her, and hope she takes care of herself better than Janis did.

Shirley Horn............... What an amazing voice & what a pity it's taken me all these years to hear it

I always thought that the original version by Percy Sledge was the best version, but this version is amazing.  Keep in mind that this is an acapella group, meaning that there are no instruments playing.  The instrument sounds that you hear are these guys making the sounds with their voices, and that includes the drums.

I'm often amazed at the sounds some can create while always fascinated with throat singing as done by  Mongols,Inuit & Tibetans.

Found this group The HU by accident & wow...

I don't know how you can get 2000 people to sing together like this, but it sounds really good.  I have all of Abba's songs, so this was a nice surprise.

Wouldn't it be great if the world was still like this today, instead of the hatred and rioting that is now occurring?  Many of the older people here know this song, and the artists who sang it, but was done at a better time in history, and it was made to raise money for the hunger in Africa.  Why can't we be that way today?

In memoriam to Michael Collins.  Although he did not walk on the moon they would not have gotten there or come home but for him...

I saw the movie with Clint Eastwood that used this as it's theme song.  I also have this movie, but to see how many people, and the instruments that were involved, to make it, is just amazing.

The 2nd half of this piece, "The Ecstasy of Gold" is one of the most nail biting scenes I have ever seen in a movie.  The music drives it but, Mr. Eastwood, Mr. Van Cleef, and Mr. Wallach bring it to life.

What I feel today.

When this group approached a music producer and gave him a demo tape that the group made in their basement, the producer couldn't believe that it was made in their basement because it sounded professional.  The reason for that, was because one of the members of the group was a sound engineer and knew how to set the basement up, as well as the equipment up, to make it sound that professional.  By the way, I have that album.🙂
