trying for second pregnancy - advice on management

Recommended Posts

I have a 19 month old at home and am starting to try for a second. My A1C has gone from 6.2 to 6.8% in the last 2 months due to busy life - toddler and new demanding job. I am worried about all these distractions will make it harder to maintain tight control during a second pregnancy. During my first, I had more time and energy to focus on eating, exercise, and tracking my insulin and BG levels. Can anyone offer comments, support, or advice if you too have felt with way.

I don't have any experience with pregnancy, but I can vouch for it taking time, energy, and focus to maintain tight control.  My one suggestion would be to make all of it as routine/repetitive as possible.  That tends to be fastest and simplest and require the least mental energy.

Good luck!
