Recommended Posts

This woman I live with has diabetes type 2 has been out of control here lately with high's  BG around 400. She eats everything. She has in the past talk about killing herself every week. Do you know of anyone that has bi-polar take insulin?

I'm sure there are diabetics who are bi-polar but whether they are on insulin is something else. Has she been diagnosed with Bi-polar or are you just guessing. If she was diagnosed bi-polar do you think she would take the meds. required to control it if she won't do anything about her diabetes.

I don't think we are the right people to talk to. She needs medical help. Talk to her doctor or call a help line. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

What do you say when she talks about killing herself, The next time say-- nothing is solved by killing your self. You only hurt those people who love you. If you don't do something to control your diabetes you will die and it will be a painful death

Rob, you have often discussed this womans mental health & each time you have been advised to take her to her doctor.
We are not a mental health forum nor are qualified  to make relevant  comment.
If she has been prescribed fast acting insulin , then that is  what she should use.

If you are trying to get us to authorise  you to inject her your insulin, then you are going to be disappointed.
We are not taking such responsibility or murder/manslaughter charges should something go wrong.

As in previous posts when you were advised to get her to her doctors, we can only repeat it..
get her to her doctor!!

Been too her doctors many times about her Diabetes. She was taking metformin and other medicine's but was causing her kidney damage and her family doctor took her off of it for good. So now her doctor doesn't give anything right now to treat her diabetes. She has been a bi-polar since she was 23 years old and now 68 years old. Her family says she been threatening to kill herself for years and of course never did it.

                                                             Thanks for the help.
