Fasting BG of 2021

7. Very disappointed with my dog yesterday, it seems he's a grumpy old male dog that doesnt like the young .

He's always growled at pups that come too close to him for his liking..even German Shepherds, but to ignore another Cavalier King Charles Spaniel  is not on. He has  growled at that pup before but yesterday I'm sure it was a deliberate act to walk outside  the length of the rope securing the pup to a spot.

That sweet little male puppy was yelping with excitement to greet the nasty old male yet all he got was ignorance.

I put him back in the car & took him to another end of the park .

Admittedly he didnt get out of the car, just sat in the open doorway, so maybe he wasnt feeling well?

Irina, it could take a while to come down from your dogs show outing..

It took 2 weeks for mine to get back to normal after my pity party.

Puppy goes for her first checkup with the doggie doctor this afternoon.   But it's ok.  The veterinarian is my nephew so he's related to Harper.

176 today, hope 36 hr fasting today will help with BG levels. Finished my "no dig" flower bed, will be planting all my seedlings and Summer bulbs this week. Could not find any perennials I wanted, garden centers were full of flower baskets and annuals for mother's day. May be this week they will have a shipment or two, our biggest nursery is stickler when it comes to "last frost date" May 10 :)

About two hours after we got home from the vet visit, Harper was very subdued and didn't want you to touch her.  She would whimper and bite at you if you did.  The only thing we could figure is she was sore from the one shot they gave her.  She was acting like every joint in her body hurt.  Poor thing.  I was able to get her into my bed and she slept all night.  I heard her whine a couple of times when she would move around.  This morning she seems much better and is lying here next to me now chewing on the new toy my nephew gave her at the visit.

172 today, went to bed with 121 last night.

Fundad, sometimes pups get reaction and chills just like people. She must have been feeling a little sick and comfort offered by humans is very welcome. 👍

Getting to sleep in Daddy's bed is sometimes the best medicine. Glad she is better.

My boy is going to the vets today but sadly he's not related to them.

FunDad, I'd ask your vet about the side effects of that vaccine.

179 this morning, this one I know the reason - I ate very late after midnight.

My terrier girl was having chills and I had her warm on my chest when we took a nap after her rabies vaccination. She was only 6 mo old but our vet insisted, apparently there was rabies epidemic in wild animals in Nebraska. She was not feeling well, I was worried.

Oh, Irina, She is so tiny. . . my heart reaches out to you both.  I had no idea she was so itzy-bitsy, just precious.
