Eurotoff 19 Report post Posted January 24 I’ve had increased anxiety attacks over a few months now and it’s affecting my relationships and work. I was good at handling it back then but now, it just got worse. What can I do? Has anybody experienced this before?
adiantum 36,027 Report post Posted January 24 I've no experience in this & it sounds awful. My first instinct is to ask what your blood glucose is. You indicated that your a parent, so does that mean you are not dibetic?
Diana_CT 16,228 Report post Posted January 25 (edited) Tis the season for anxiety attacks. With the recent holidays, the shorter days, the political uncertainty, and COVID's social isolation there are a lot of anxiety attacks. I haven't had one in almost 20 years but it has rear its ugly head again. Back 20years ago I learned grounding techniques and that helped then and now. If the attacks become debilitating I suggest going to therapy. 30 Grounding Techniques to Quiet Distressing Thoughts Edited January 25 by Diana_CT Added link 1 adiantum reacted to this
adiantum 36,027 Report post Posted January 25 Eurotoff, are you taking medications such as benzodiazepine ? A side effect of this med can be increased anxiety. Do some googling on benzos, side effects and long term use. If thats causing your anxiety, dont just stop taking it as that can be more dangerous. Discuss it with your doctor & they will give you something else to help you come down, while that can be managed. That link posted above looks ideal.......do try it. https://www.healthline.com/health/grounding-techniques 1 ran23 reacted to this
