PreDiabetes 1yr Result: A1c 6.1 to 5.5

After one whole year of "eating to the meter" with a 1hr BG limit of 140, my wife has dropped from an initial A1c of 6.1 to an A1c of 5.5 - it worked.


There have been lots of articles of "eat this", and "don't eat that", and health professionals telling us checking our blood is going overboard, unnecessary, and "causing you stress" through this year, but this most recent A1c is the real stress reducer.


We are testing a lot less these days, only trying a new food or meal combination once a week or so, but 346 tests in a year enabled this result.
