98 @adiantum - Irrigation sprinklers should be banned here too. Unbelievable how much waste it is. I bought this house in March, and because of all the rain we've had I've used a hose sprinkler one single time. But I see other homes with automatic systems that come on twice a week.

139 today. I am holding hose most of the time and water plants to the root, however grass is about to start going crispy and I had to setup "fountain" like sprinkler for one area at a time to keep it alive. We still have lawns here. No mask requirement yet in our city, hope we are far enough from outbreak to go back to mask mandate.

7.5 The continuing story on saving the planet & my $'s.. Instead of using the clothes dryer I toughened up & tolerated the shoulder pain by hanging the washing on the clothesline. The white flannelette sheet was a challenge with only a soiled mark on the bottom where I trod on it. I was late in getting things out so they didnt dry thoroughly. I brought them in & no.. I'd not finish them off in the dryer, I' returned them to the sunshine next day. Miserable pain during the night that woke me 3 times. The sheet was lovely & warm next day when I was to bring it indoors, but on my way out to the garden I knocked my cut finger & oh how it bled... all over the white sheet. Now I'm wasting water as that sheet had to be washed again & this morning I'll hang it on the line once more. Black sheets are a better idea. Irina, sprinklers are banned here because they use too much water in spray drifting. Drip system was ok but now its hand held hose with a trigger nozzle only.

My reading this morning was 119 I am up at the Cape and everyone is masking up again. Officials: More than 750 COVID-19 cases linked to Provincetown outbreak The first week in July was a madhouse up here. Over the 4th in Provincetown was crowded with wall-to-wall people on the main street through the town, on Facebook there were photos of packed bars and nightclubs with the under 30 crowd and the National Seashore has closed their Visitor Centers, but the beaches are still open but packed (and the traffic is still insane). I am back into hunker-down mode limiting going in public spaces and using take-out, I haven't been to Provincetown since June except for grocery shopping; it is way too mobbed for my tastes. But the worst thing, the very worst thing is that lobster rolls are $30! That is more than double the price from last year and Clam Shacks are not selling fried clams. Seafood lovers shelling out more for clams amid skyrocketing food prices

7 after washing hands when first reading was 9.8 * shock* feeding birds aple can cause stress. Its usually a pleasure throwing meat out to the Pied Butcher Birds & Magpies until the big bad aven swoops in for grand theft. Then the dog goes ballistic.. he doesnt like ravens. I've become to like wearing a mask.. now I dont have to pluck those three pesky chin hairs before I go out. Theres supposedly no covid in this small region but we must wear a mask , sign in to a business when we enter & leave & theres a limit of 3 customers in the small business premises which I frequent. Food prices have sky rocketed here also. The lockdowns prevent workers from harvesting...or so they claim. Even a 1Kg bag of dog treats at the farmers market has gone from $21 to $30. One of us might lose weight.. the boy can only climb into the car if theres a treat thrown in, if not, then I have to lift him.

If your provider offer forwarding with simultaneous ring or forward with both ring (this is sometimes called twinning), then yes. Unfortunately, I have never seen this offered by a cell carrier. For my office, we subscribe to a service which offers a one number reach all. The number rings a desk phone, an app installed on my notebook which can be a phone when I connect my BT mic/headphones, and an app installed on my cell phone. I have control over which devices ring or don't ring and when. When I make calls from the app, my business number is always presented as Caller ID so I am not giving out my cell number. If you wanted to do this, it would cost anywhere from $15 to $20 a month for the service. Your cell phone would need a good reliable data connection at all times. Some free wi-fi will block this so a good unlimited cell data plan is advised. Ooma, Ring Central, and Zoom offer some plans that can do it. We use NEC Univerge Blue. The essential version would do this. You can check it out. I think it is about $20/month. It actually does way more than you would need but it does offer that function. One out of the box idea would be to see if a land line provider (old school phone company) or Cable TV company offers the simultaneous ring mentioned above. If they do then you could port in your cell number to them. You would then assign a new number to the cell phone. They have a web portal to easily set the feature. If you have a land line bundled in with services, you might be able to do this already. The irony is many old school phone systems do this but the providers are reluctant to offer the service because they want to sell lines.

It's Friday, Winter & midday & when in an industrial estate buying kerosene I could hear an icecream truck as it played Greensleeves. It might be payday for many workers but tradies arnt the likely people to buy an icecream. Instinct suggests this "businessman" is selling drugs not icecream. Once upon a time these dealers were discrete....our tomorrows are going downhill.
