This morning’s reading was 145 Yesterday was brutal! I am up at the cottage on Cape Cod and it was 94 F (34 C) with a feel like temperature of 115 F (46 C) and relative humidity of 70%! At 4 AM it was 80 F (27 C) and a relative humidity of 79%. I did a Google search on heat and humidity effect on blood sugar… And it also effect the meter and test strips. The CDC has some tips about high heat and humidity. On Friday morning I went walking down through the pine barrens in the Cape Cod National Seashore along Hatches Harbor trail. Rounding a corner on the trail you come out on a tidal marsh and you can see the Race Point Lighthouse I donated a pint of blood to the mosquito and black flies as we walked, I am covered with insect bites, one even got me on the cheek.

139 I don't know how many saw about the two tornadoes on Cape Cod on Tuesday? I was a little worried about it because it was the remnants of the storm with the tornado that hit Yarmoth and Harwich went on to hit Truro and Wellfleet and it knocked down trees and wires. I got an update yesterday from a friend, the only thing the storm did to the cottage was blow over the screen tent. About a dozen in town were without power for a couple of hours, and about 50,000 were without power on the Cape The best interview that I saw was when a reporter asked a girl of about 10 or 11 is she was scared when the tornado hit the motel they were staying in. She gave the reporter a blank stare and said something like, "Well yeah, the roof got blown off and we were all in the bathtub... what do you think?" Some local news coverage.

A 90 (5.0) today. Well, I did manage to get the tractor out and cut the weeds on the embankment at the end of my driveway. That was the main area that really needed cutting. I wanted to cut the rest of the lawn, but by the time I finished cutting the embankment, I was sweating like crazy....my arms, face and neck, had sweat dripping off onto the ground, my shirt was completely soaked, my pants were soaked, as were my socks. I could hear thunder in the background, and it was getting closer, and there were dark clouds moving in. I decided to put the tractor away, and wait for another day to cut the grass. I didn't want to start cutting the grass, then have it start to rain. It wasn't supposed to rain today, but it is supposed to rain tomorrow. If it does rain tomorrow, then the next day, if it isn't raining, I'll throw down some Weed and Feed on the weeds in my yard. You're supposed to put down the Weed and Feed when the weeds and grass are wet, like after a rain, that way, the Weed and Feed is able to stick to the weeds to destroy them.

Today at the park I made the acquaintance of another canine. In the beginning, dogs are a little nervous of me because I am on my bike and all dooded up. Many times, just dismounting and being friendly wins the day. Today was no exception. The owner came up and commented that I must be exceptionally kind hearted because her dog likes very few people. That made my day.

WOW Mike, what an experience. The magnificence of it will stay in your memory forever. This universe puts on some incredible displays . We are so lucky to be part of it. I'd love to go up North to the top end to Burketown to see the Morning Glory Cloud but I shouldve done it many years ago when I didnt need lifes comfort. This cloud stretches 1,000KM / 620 miles & rolls into itself. https://higginsstormchasing.com/morning-glory-clouds-explained/
